The Steps to Perfection 8th grade curriculum strives to build upon the development of a strong Islamic foundation, which began from the kindergarten book.
In ʿAqāʾid, we take a deeper look and reflect on our souls with the concept of tawassul, learning about maʿād and the journey through death, the barzākh and resurrection.
The Fiqh unit continues our hands-on approach of major topics such a taqlīd, ṭahārah and najāsah, as well rules of prayer. As the lessons become more advanced, critical thinking is applied for a deeper understanding of the Islamic laws.
The History unit focuses on Prophet Mūsā (ʿa) and Prophet Dawūd (ʿa) with cross-curriculum akhlāq lessons that we learn from each Prophet. We continue to study the lives of the Imāms (ʿa) and significant battles of history while continuing our spot-light on various personalities.
The Akhlāq unit continues to build positive characteristics and teaches us through Islamic guidance how to gain closeness to Allah (swt).
