Akhlāq includes many different things, such as being honest, doing the right thing, forgiving your friends, and respecting others. The Prophet (ṣ) was always seen with a smile on his face. 

Ṣalāh is Allah (swt) calling us. How does ṣalāh keep us doing good deeds? It reminds us 5 times a day that we are created to make good choices.

The 9th night of Muḥarram, Imām Ḥusayn (ʿa) had asked for one more night to offer ṣalāh, make duʿāʾ, ask for forgiveness, and recite Qurʾān. 

Allah (swt) has sent us the Qurʾān, the Prophets, and our Imāms to keep us safe and away from Shayṭān’s evil ideas and whispers.

Allow me to share with you all a few things that we can do to actively wait for the ẓuhūr, as taught to us by the Ahl al-Bayt (ʿa).

Imām Ṣādiq (ʿa) said, “You, a person in that community that doesn’t have any believers, are like an entire society, an entire ummah. But you have two responsibilities. First, remember and practice our teachings. Second, invite people towards us and our teachings.”

Islam gives us a definition of success, this is seen in a line of Ziyārat ʿĀshūrāʾ. What is this definition? Let me share a story.

Learn from the knowledgeable scholars, ask questions to those who have studied, and do your best to follow that which pleases Allah (swt). This includes learning the proper way to pray, fast, speak to our parents, etc.

Those who love our Noble Prophet (ṣ) and saw the love and respect that he had for his beloved grandson Imām Ḥusayn (ʿa) wonder why did Karbala happen? The choices and actions Imām took for Allah, do we also take action for Allah?
